Bristol Vegans Xmas Party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A brilliant nite out for 30 + of us as we met at the Rainbow Cafe in Clifton Village on Solstice nite 21st December. Compact and Bijoux comfortably describes the setting and we had a really nice meal courtesy of Dan and his colleagues – see the menu below. Thanks to everyone who came, it was thrilling to see so many people especially loads of new faces. As always a big thanks to Ellen for taking care of the bookings etc, we havent planned the next one at time of writing but ther will be something up on the website soon. Meanwhile if you want to join our email list, just email Ellen on the adress below. so ends another year. It's a funny old time, xmas, especially for those who choose not to harm animals whilst they feast. I walked past the butchers a couple of days ago, and there was a huge queue building for their ‘free range, organic’ turkeys. I so wanted to go and have a rant and rave at them but I love people and its just no good shouting at them. Give them options instead. Big shout out to all Bristol Vegans for 2008, and big thanks to Steve and Sophie for hosting our website here and making updates from luddites like me entirely possible. Feel free to contribute any news, events etc – email ellen and she'll pass them on.
