Tobacco Factory - Bristol
Omnivore restaurant
Over the river in Southville, this ambitious project opened in November 2001 and has been busy ever since. Industrial style interior with music and lighting, and lots of vegan food on the menu, including an excellent value mezze and generally Mediterranean style influences with other dishes, which change on a regular basis. Bristol is very lucky to have places of this calibre, and it’s not surprising that Bristol is the centre of the universe for the vegan lifestyle at its best.

Buzzard 2006-07-18 11:16:38In addition to the vegan mezze plate, there were two vegan mains on the menu when I went. One was a generous bowl of pasta with grilled vegetables and vegan pesto. The other was a tagine with beans and squash and all manner of other things, served with couscous and salad. Both were truly wonderful.
